Effective July 25, 2026 · Covers the Comfie app and getcomfie.com

Comfie tells you what to wear based on the weather. To do that well it needs a small amount of your data. This page lists all of it, in plain language. The short version: we collect only what the outfit math needs, we never sell it, and you can delete everything.

What the app stores

This data lives in our database hosted by Supabase. Each account can only read and write its own rows. We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or show ads.

Your location

Comfie uses your location for one thing: fetching the weather where you are. Your coordinates go to our own server, which asks Apple Weather for the forecast and passes the answer back. They are not saved to your account. The app can also skip location entirely; you can type a city instead, and city names are matched against our own list rather than sent to another company. We do not track where you go and we do not keep a history of your movements.

Notifications

Morning and evening outfit notifications are optional. You pick the times, and you can turn them off in Settings or in your phone's notification settings at any time.

App analytics

The app uses PostHog (on their US servers) to show us how Comfie is actually used, so we know what to fix. It records which screens you open, plus the actions that tell us whether the app is working: getting through onboarding, signing in or failing to, asking for an outfit and whether it arrived, rating an outfit's comfort, saving your notification times, whether you allowed location access, switching clothing off in My Wardrobe, and deleting your account.

If you have an account, these events are linked to your account ID, so repeat activity from one person is not counted as many. We do not send PostHog your name or your email address. If you use Comfie as a guest you are not identified at all, and your events sit under an anonymous device ID unless you later create an account. PostHog does not record your screen, and it never receives your outfit history or your exact location. It does receive the IP address your events arrive from and turns that into an approximate city, which is standard for analytics tools.

Deleting your data

In the app, go to Settings and choose Delete account. That removes your account and every row of your data: profile, comfort answers and outfit history. It is immediate and permanent. If you cannot reach the app, email us and we will delete it for you.

Children

Comfie is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new effective date. Meaningful changes will be called out in the app.
